The Wash is one of our favorite reuse projects we’ve done recently. We adapted an old car wash in East Nashville into a food-hall, with each of the six wash bays now serving as a restaurant or bar incubator space. The name and branding also pay homage to the history of the space that came before.

A straightforward way to integrate a historical touch into new builds is using materials or craftsman techniques that harken to the city's deep architectural history. Using reclaimed wood, local stone, or traditional masonry techniques are ways to maintain historical integrity with your new build.
When constructing Mother’s Ruin, a beloved bar in Germantown, we took special care to integrate the reclaimed hardwood floors and exposed brick details to bring in the warmth, texture, and character of the original space.
